Went to the New Day Spa in Phillipsburg last night, Salon Fusion & Day Spa. The place is beautiful and my massage was to die for! Has any one else checked it out?

Can you tell me where it's located?

yes - its on the 2nd and 3rd floors above Jimmy Hots next to the Free Bridge. I bought my wife one of the spa packages. If you get one of the higher-end packages, they bring you to the 3rd floor - with terrific views of the Delaware.
My wife loved it.... and no-longer uses The Spa @ Beaver Brook.
Highly recommended

Sounds like some good recommendations, Daymaker. Are you the owner or work there? The website looks nice as well.
Please tell me about your therapists. Does anyone know Lomi-lomi massage.
I don't like hot rocks or riverstones so much. I prefer a therapist who knows how to find the achey muscles, knots and adhesions.
Tell us more.

The Spa is beautifully done. The owners are very nice & everyone that works there is very friendly.
The Hair Salon has been there for awhile and they just opened up the SPA in January. They have spa nights, facials, massages, pedicures and manicures....and I am sure much more..It is a VERY relaxing place and well worth the price. Upstairs, where the SPA is located, is very serene and such a relaxing atmosphere. It was well thought out, and the staff upstairs is WONDERFUL!!! Go check it out...Salon Fusion is a five star place and something we needed in this area.

No, I don't work their, just a really excited customer. Not sure about Lomi Lomi, didn't see it on the brochure or website. The only thing I can tell you is that the massage was wonderful, she really worked out the knots, good pressure, no fluff. I had the Riverview Classic.

I'm new to the area and have been wondering if there was a "really good" Hair Salon/Spa in the area... I am so happy to hear about this one - it sounds fantastic!
Does anyone know if they also do waxings? And, if you happen to know the name of a particular esthetician there to recommend, that'd be awesome!

Yes They do waxing also...I don't know the names off hand but Sue is the director in the Spa and she would be more than happy to help you.
ALL the ladies that are in the spa are great.

If you have to ask how much it costs to go to a spa, you shouldnt bother going in the first place. you are defeating the purpose....

Defeating the purpose? What might "the purpose" be?
To spend as much as possible?
This ought to be interesting...

The purpose must be not to care what one spends in order to do something that feels good. That could explain why the average rate of savings in this country is -1%.

Spas are like vacations, they are comfort for those who don’t like their jobs. They are for people who wear acid washed jeans with holes in them, eat tofu and get their belly buttons pierced; so they can say to the whole world ‘I hate you Daddy’.

Yeah...
OR, it can just be a place where you go to get a nice massage if you feel like getting one.
But who am I to start overanalyzing this, ya know?

WHEN I SAW THIS I HAD TO RESPOND, SALON FUSION IS MY WISH COME TRUE!! I USED TO TRAVEL AN HOUR TO GO TO A DECENT SALON THAT COULD GIVE A NORMAL UP TO DATE HAIRCUT OR COLOR, THAN I TRIED SALON FUSION, NOT ONLY DOES IT LOOK NICE, THEY TREAT YOU LIKE A PRINCESS THERE. I ALWAYS LEAVE THERE FEELING PAMPERED AND PRETTY. THE SPA IS LOVELY AND THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL!!! I ADVISE ALL WOMEN OUT THERE LOOKING FOR A MORE "MODERN" SALON TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!! THEY ARE ALSO GREAT WITH KIDS, MY DAUGHTER LOVES GOING THERE THEY ACTUALLY TAKE TIME ON HER AND MAKE HER FEEL PAMPERED AS WELL. IF ANYONE WANTS TO CONTACT THEM THE # IS 213-9300. TRUST ME ONCE YOU TRY THEM YOU WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!

Look, I don't wear designer jeans and have money to throw around. I have tried some spas before on occasion because if you find the right place it is good for your well being on a lot of levels. This is the first time I felt my money was well spent. I left feeling better physically. I was treated very well, they were not snobs. I highly encourage anyone to give them a try. They all seemed very down to earth and knew what they were talking about. And I agree what the others said, the entire staff is wonderful. I felt very comfortable, had the best massage. I tried a couple other spas in the area and I found, the prices were high the services were poor to okay and the staff was just plain rude.

Fattypants, I think I understand what you were trying to say. But I wanted to clarify that asking how much something costs is a very reasonable question.
My massage was $65.00. I personally, as I mentioned, felt it was money well spent and scheduled another massage. I don't waste my hard earned dollars on fluff, I want value and that is exactly what I got.

Daymaker, Fattypants_III is very likely the same person as Greenwich_Wizard aka Mark from Lopat who badgered and belittled posters on the LopatcongNJ.com messageboard for years. He moved on last year, apparently after he found a new message board to abuse. Since it is so easy to register here, it is likely he has a dozen or more identities. Another one of his identities here is "Little Nicky" who was his nemisis on the LopatcongNJ message board. One of his tactics is to steal the identities of other posters to incite mistrust and ill will.

I<3LOPAT, I HAVE MY HAIR DONE BY RICH THE OWNER SO IT COSTS AROUND 45.00. A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE PLACES AROUND HERE BUT LET ME TELL YOU IT IS WELL WORTH THE FEW EXTRA DOLLARS. I USED TO LEAVE THE LOCAL SALONS IN TEARS, AND AS I SAID I ALSO USED TO TRAVEL 50 MILES TO GET MY HAIR DONE ONCE I REALIZED I COULDN'T GET A DECENT CUT AROUND HERE. SO THE PRICE IS VERY FAIR. AS THE SAYING GOES "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" AND FOR THAT PRICE HE ALSO STYLES MY HAIR THE WAY I LIKE, HE DOESN'T SEND ME OUT WITH A WET HEAD OR THE OPPOSITE WITH A 1950 BOUIFFANT(SPELLING) BUT ANYWAY YOU GET THE IDEA. JUST TRY THE PLACE AND I GUARANTEE YOU WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE AGAIN!!

EVEN THE MEN AGREE THIS IS A GREAT SALON, I HOPE THIS FORUM BRINGS SALON FUSION MORE WELL DESERVED BUSINESS. IT'S NICE TO SEE A LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER GETTING SUCH RAVE REVIEWS. MAYBE DOWNTOWN P-BURG IS ON IT'S WAY UP, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE ALL OF THE BUSINESS DOWN THERE START TO TAKE OFF

Rich is a great guy and his success is well deserved. He is a great guy and has come along way since his days at Matrix Hair Salon in P'Burg Mall!
A little pricey for some, but to this guy, it is well worth it!

I know someone asked once before about the price of a hairstyle at salon fusion. I keep hearing how good they are and would like to know beforehand how much for a cut and style. The last place I tried was 75$ and I could of went to a barber for the same job.

I go to Jenn F. She listens to me and I am always happy with my hair. She does great color and highlights. Her cuts are $40.00
I was referred by several friends to Salon Fusion and had a wonderful experience also. They are good,, and that is rare. I am from NE Jersey and also had a hard time finding a new Salon in the area. I tried it and got a new hair color,,loved it,, I feel soo good :D The cuts are about 40- ,, but well worth it. Give Lynn a try,, she worked wonders with my hair and my new color :P

Well, based on all this positive feedback, I'm going to try Salon Fusion for the first time next week for a hair cut. I can't wait! I hope I like it there. Their prices are a little lower than I'm currently paying for cut and color in Basking Ridge (near work).
