Hi, just moved here... Are there any public playgrounds in Stewartsville (or surrounding areas) where we can take our kids to run around, play & make friends?

The one behind the municipal building is good as is the one at the elementary school.

Thank you for the quick reply mkjad! Someone else just told me about this playgroud behind the municipal building as well, they said it's very nice - I'm going to take the kids there tomorrow to check it out.

Now, where's the elementary school? Is that the one sorta "behind" Lowes, you have to drive through a development to get there (Greenwich school, I believe)? I think someone else mentioning about that one... But if it is a school playground, can we just stop and play whenever we want, or only when school is out?

The school is in a development. Unfortunately you do need to wait until school is out.
The other playground that is really nice is out 173 past the truck stop. It is on the left about a mile after the truck stop. It has 2 playgrounds. One for real little ones and one for older kids.

That's it! I was looking for this one! Someone had mentioned to me something about a very nice park/playground "right off of one-seventy-something" but it was a few weeks back, before we actually moved in, and now I couldn't remember where she said it was... But this must be the one, off of 173. (I am really not familiar with the area... can you tell?) Could you explain how I can get there? I know RT 22, I also know RT 519... I know where Lowes, Home Depot & Applebees are... But no clue where 173 is. Which town is this park located in, is it actually in Sewartsville? And do you happen to know the name of it?

Thanks so much for all your help!...

Hi just wanted to get directions to you just in case you hadn't found the playground yet. 173 goes over 78 (22 to 78 - instead of heading down to the interstate, go over it toward Muller Chev and the Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church.) keep following 173 past the truck stop (quite a ways). There is a garage on the right and you need to look for a sign on the left that says "Heritage Park"

It is a really nice park - my kids loved it!

Thank you so much Joyce! Yes, I was still looking for more specific directions, so your reply is very welcome! Thanks!
