Default Local Senior housing options

Hi Everyone, Hope your summer's going nicely despite the heat.
You all have always been helpful before...so I turn to you again.
I'm in search of some local housing options for my elderly mom who lives pretty far away now. Although her health is generally good and she's sharp as a tac, as the years progress, she'll need more help from me and I want to have her near so I can provide it. Living with me would be the best....but she insists on maintaining her own residence.
Does anyone have experience or knowledge of some good housing options for seniors such as townhomes, adult communities, apartments, etc... that are in the Greenwich, Lopat area? I've heard of Clymer, Corliss, Brakeley, Warren Heights, Overlook...but I don't know how good they are. I know lots of us are probably facing the same situation with aging parents who need more help from us as the years go by. Any info you have based on your personal experience would be helpful. We are not looking into purchasing a home. She'll need a living situation where the property is mostly taken care of. Thanks!

I'm not familiar with how good any of the options you mentioned are, but my father moved into an adult community in Forks Township, PA that he enjoys. All the condos are single floor, no steps at all, all outside maintenance taken care of, a community center that provides activities/special dinners/trips to AC and other places. He no longer drives, so we take him grocery shopping once a week - it's about 15 minutes away. This is a purchased condo, though. Are you looking for a rental?

Lisa,

Up on 519 in white twp there is a 55+ community I think they provide some services, the name of the community is escaping me right now, I know they had a low local tax rate because the landfill is in the township. I used to be white twp's tax collector.

Wink

Thanks Rinkerv230! I will check it out, but I think I'd want my mom closer...maybe Lopat or Washington, if not Stewartsville/Greenwich. I really appreciate the time you took with this.
Hope you're enjoying your summer!
