Hi Everyone,
Can anyone tell me what they have heard or know about the Delaware Crossing 55+ living developments? For example, the quality of the construction, the lifestyle, management, etc.. Thanks! |

Hello, I presently am a home owner in Delaware crossing subdivision. When we first moved here 3 years ago, it was a very nice commuity. The home we purchased with very well constructed and we have had no problems with it.
In the last year, a lot of things have changed. I guess it is because of the economy? Originally the homes were only for sale. Lately, the contractor/owner of the property has been renting units. The renters do not have the same pride in the community as owners and I see a lot of disturbing things happening. (not following community rule, not clean up after their dogs, etc)Also, some morgage company will not give morgages to home buyer when the ratio of renters to owners is to high. That may make it difficult to sell my home when it becomes necessary. If I had known how things would change, I would not have purchased my house. |

I see the same thing happening in my community as well and it ANNOYS the Hell out of me! I am told it is everywhere! You can tell where the renters live....They is absolutely no pride whatsoever because they don't own the property,so.... why so any interest in the home. The owners of these rented home are just happy to get the monthly rent. I have some foreclosures near me and those houses look horrible too! THe township doesn't even enforce codes on property management....newpapers on drivesways for weeks.... garbage....Obnoxiously loud music......Its a shame! FOR what we pay in Taxes....
