Default What's the deal with School Busing???

Are the kids that live across from Greenwich School in greenwich chase and windham farms going to cross Greenwich Streeet without crosswalks. I heard children are not allowed to cross COUNTY roads whlie walking to and from school, not sure if it is true.

Show some personal responsibility and walk your own kid across the street. You made them, don't expect the rest of us to pay for them.

There are actually new crosswalks painted now going across Wyndham Farm Blvd over into the school development.

Default Sam are you kidding!

People work and can't walk there kid to school! Plus if the school would get get rid of all the big shots like the superintendents and all the ast. principals and only have one person in charge. we all know that the secy. are the ones that do all the work.
My father was the one that got hit at the blinking light on 7/15 while crossing the road in a crosswalk. thankfully he will be ok . Some broken bones but hopefully nothing permanent. Thank you to our wonderful Squad, Fire and Police!
Just ask the crossing guard how many close calls there has been. Cars have come right threw with her standing in the middle of the road with the stop sign and all the reflectors.
The town committee, school and county better wake up before somebody or a group of kids get killed! There should have been a reg. light there years ago. Not only would it help for the people crossing but would help with all the traffic especially when an accident or construction makes the traffic unbearable. Here is a pic after my dad was hit then tell me how safe it is to walk to school!

wow, troy. that is terrible. Your father is lucky. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Drivers really do need to watch where they're going, I know it sound so chiche, but my gosh. How could someone NOT see a pedestrian at that intersection?

I recently sent an email to the TC about sidwalks on the south side of town to the Middle School. I was told that there are NO plans to put in sidewalks for those of us on this side of town!

Yeah, Sam needs to go back to kindergarten where we learn to say things in a nice way! This forum constantly reminds me why we need good teachers! Manners here are terrible!
