Oh yeah, I probably will not be home until after 11:00 tonight after being in at 7:30 this morning because I have to go to the committee meeting tonight to see what we are going to do about our courtesy busing issue were I work.

Concerned,

I did read your posts, which is why I said what I said. Your posts have this "we have it really tough" kind of feel to them. Every job has challenges, and your challenges are no greater than any other job's challenges.

Hopefully the next step for Christie is to do away with the pension system, and move to a 401k style system. I can't wait to see the threads on this board if that happens.

The only points you have are on the little red star on your drab olive green cap, Comrade Von Rinker.

green wiz we may all become komrades working for the Government/State as concernedcitizen the way this kountry is heading...... last week, an additional 464,000 potential future Komarades for the first time filled out applications for unemployment relief...... An average of 450,000 new un-employed each week! Week after week, people are still getting laid off. Who would hire someone today, with compulsory health care on the immediate horizon, paid by the employer? Who would hire anyone now, with a bureaucrat snooping over your shoulder at every turn, to be sure you obeyed the myriad laws regarding hiring someone? Who would attempt to run a business, in the most hostile government attitude towards business in history? Who would start a business if you had the possibility of filling out hundreds of 1099 forms and having an IRS agent (sounds like a kool job) checking everything but your blood pressure? Lame brained Congress just passed billions more in benefits for the unemployed, so why should anyone even look for a job, when they can get $500 a week in some places, for sitting on their duffs and watching inane TV?.......When America was founded, the government was at the will of the citizens and states. Today, central government in Washington D.C., with thousands of branches and bureaucrats everywhere, are ruling us, rather than us ruling them. We have become afraid of government, whereas government should be afraid of us........and get this our lovely government stuck in such provisions and a addendum to the health care bill, which was passed without a single Republican vote, part of which says that any sale over $600 must be reported on a 1099 form to the IRS, beginning Jan. 1st, 2012.......What has happened to America?

Heybulldog, I’m not that pessimistic yet. I may have been 7 months ago before Chris Christie took charge. Right now there are a lot of opportunities out there for people who want to seize the moment and develop ideas that can save money by replacing public employees using technology and automation. I actually feel very enthusiastic about the future .Right now it’s like the private sector is like the Wild West with Chris Christie leading the way into the O.K Corral. The private sector in NJ can defeat these Hyenas in the public sector but we will have to support Chris Christie and work hard. We are still the greatest country on Earth and NJ is a great place to live in , it’s worth extending ourselves and going that extra mile to keep it that way and make it even better. I know I’m ready to give it hell, because I rather die on my feet then live on my knees.
